Dr. Arıboğan received her master degree and her PhD from the International Relations Department of Istanbul University and subsequently attended St. Andrew University’s School of International Security Studies in Scotland. She became an associated professor in 1998, and a professor in 2003.
She has also functioned as the Vice President of International Studies Association, CISS. She is a Board member of University Network of the European Capitals of Culture. Prof. Arıboğan has been teaching at Bahcesehir University since 2006 and was the Provost in charge of International Relations.
Prof. Arıboğan became the President of Bahcesehir University in the academic year of 2007-2008. In 2007, she was accepted a member at the World Academy of Art and Science. Prof. Deniz Ülke Arıboğan is considered as one of the outstanding experts in the field of international terrorism, and has published many articles and papers in this subject.
She has written and published 10 books. She has also contributed chapters to several books, the latest of which is a series of interviews with İlber Ortaylı and Hilmi Yavuz entitled as About our Republic (2008).
