Task Force: Arts, Media and Peace

 

Participants: Donna Hicks, Robi Damelin, Manuela Dviri, Ron Fremder, Nicoletta Gaida

 

Summary:

  • Religious leaders should publicize messages of peace
  • Initiatives must be taken to create emotional breakthroughs which will cause extension of dignity and  surprise and shock people into attention and action, especially in conflict regions - do this by honoring the dignity of the enemy in a way that is shocking i.e. Sadat's visit to Jerusalem
  • Fashion weeks dedicated to awareness raising on the themes of dignity forgiveness and reconciliation; competition for designers to create t-shirts on the theme and  world leaders sign them;
  • Forgiveness perfume advertizing campaigns on the theme, like Oliviero Toscani's passport for "citizens of the world" and all this means.  a world wide social network---citizens of the world holding a passport and agreeing on a fundamental principle:  the right of every human being to live with dignity
  • Facebook pages for each task force
  • Steven Spielberg righteous foundation to contact in order to make a film on the stories of victims and perpetrators --- possible contact with Paradigm (producer of desperate housewives)
  • Forbes plan for peace:  raise money for human dimension of peace from top names on Forbes list of rich people audiovisual in order to promote understanding and fight prejudice
